Jody Romano

Jody Romano is Colleen’s inspiring guest on the podcast this week.  Jody talks openly and honestly about her life as a child who was overweight and bullied. She is an incredible and accomplished woman despite her early challenges. She works as the Director of Advancement at Mount Saint Joseph Academy and also is the President of her local Toastmasters club as well as many other endeavors.

She talks to us about overcoming hard times and the importance of making a difference in the lives of all people. We talk about goal setting and the value in putting our goals into bite size pieces because when you’re goals are too big, they may stop you.  Jody shares her perspective on finding your passion and is a shining example of trying many things and pursuing many passions.  Jody has a lot of knowledge in the area of mentoring and we discuss the various types of mentorship and how one can go about getting a mentor.

We discussed the importance of taking time for yourself when you need it. We delve into being courageous and bold and that sometimes, we need to push the anxiety down. She shared that time is our greatest excuse and we can either die laughing or die crying.  What are you going to do?  After listening to Jody, you will be motivated to look at life a little differently, try new things and to be the change you want to see.
