I am a huge believer in girl power and the notion of women helping women.  I totally believe in the power of community and I know that it indeed takes a village to not only survive in today’s world but thrive, especially as a woman. It is HARD out there today!

As women, we have so many responsibilities and commitments that we are often left wondering, When is it MY time? I have learned that in order for me to be the best me I can be that I need to take some time out for me. Now, it isn’t always that easy and I am still a major work in progress, but I’m getting there. I recently attended the Pennsylvania Conference for Women in Philadelphia, which happens to be one of my favorite days of the year because it is a day to re-charge.  I get to join 8,000 women in Philadelphia to be inspired, learn, grow, ask questions and help each other, and we walk away stronger and better for doing it. I tend to tweet my thoughts so I don’t forget things and I was cracking up looking back at the tweet below. Who can relate? It really doesn’t take much to feel like you are on vacation. And sometimes it is only a train ride away.  See, it really is the little things sometimes.

Here are just a few of my many take-a-ways from the conference:

I could easily give a list of 100 additional tips but I think it would be too much to digest.

CC-It-can-be-YOU

I think if we can all genuinely support each other, raise each other up and take some time for US to really figure out what WE want in life, we will be successful. What’s your definition of success? We all have our own definition of success, so it’s something to think about. And remember, it CAN be YOU! Thank you to Penn Women for another successful day of inspiration and personal growth for so many of us.
